Ray is depressed, and hears about a mystical talisman that grants complete satisfaction. He goes on a quest to retrieve all parts of the talisman and fulfill this wish. Ray has issues though, in that he is very impulsive and also quick to indulge too heavily in objects and activities. As the player progresses through this Rogue-like RPG, they will have to be mindful to not over-indulge the MC, as he can quickly reduce himself to a mess not capable of fighting.
